I just found the artical on the deflection gauge it was in # 76 winter 03'GAL. It says they are looking for .025" - .030" on both bass and trebel sides. My buddy Bill rigged this one up with weights...

That is a form of tight bond, the steam made it look white until it dried out. I now use fish glue on almost everything and find it real close to hot hide glue.

# 3 on the deflection gauge.
I will put the top on the deflection gauge in a week or two and get the top where I think it will work and will post more on that later....
This work well but with adding so much steam you could effect more glue joints than you want.
The back did turn into a potato chip and I made a steam table to bring the arch back.

With my #4 f-5 in the white and strung up, I was pleased with the amount of sound. We had used a deflection gauge on both top and back reading .025-.035".
My #3 was pre-deflection gauge and quiet so...
