I know for a fact that this mando sounds as good as it looks. Rex, for some stupid reason, I didn't play it last time we picked but it sure cut the mix. If you want, we can bring my mando for you...
I totally understand your point Ray. Great instruments indeed and at great prices if you can find one. I have seen a couple in the classifieds and on Ebay in the last few years and thought that...
Oops, I meant 130/41 on Cary's mandolin.
No 131/42 now lives in the Missouri Ozarks, and I suspect it probably will for quite some time. I suspect the mandolin that Cary listed is probably 130/141 as Ondrej's ones look like sevens.
A Sam Bush model I used to have.
Looking good Steve. You should be getting some orders with Rick playing one of yours with Special "C". Keep up the good work.
Ray, I was actually curious about your impressions of my mandolin (#131/42) when you played it and possibly who owned it at that time.
Ray, how long has it been since you played this mandolin and what was your impressions of it then? It doesn't have a huge bottom end like some of the mandolins I have owned but it cuts a jam better...
Just a note: Morgan music sets up a booth at Starvy Creek/Conway, Mo-Back Forty festival/Curryville, Mo-Bluegrass Pickin' Time/Dixon, Mo. Always has some good stuff.
Ken, I love the mandos but the pics are artwork in themselves. Great work.
Swampstomper, I love the looks of those Pruchas. I'm thinking an a style blacktop would be right up my alley. I have always admired the Czech builders. I played a Petr Slama about 15 years ago...
Well, I have had my Holoubek for about five months now and figure I should tell everyone how much I love it. It is drop dead gorgeous and plays like butter. This has quickly become my favorite...
I recently got to play one from Morgan Music and thought it was a great mandolin. Much better than I expeceted. Congrats.
Last time I was in Musc Folk the had a pretty good Petr Slama mandolin. I can't for the life of me figure out why it has been there so long. He makes great mandos and takes some artistic liberties...
Well, I have never played a Daley but hope to one of these days. As for the Bush models, I have played probably a dozen, most of them pretty good and couple of them exceptional. I happen to own...
I bought a new high end mandolin in 2003 and within a year had spot about the size of a half dollar worn off the finish. When I traded mandolins I changed my habits and quit planting my finger. ...
So many mandolins-so little time. I've narrowed my wish list to four, although, I'm sure it will be an ever changing list.

To drown out the sound of (insert her favorite television show) in the background. In my case, Ghost Whisperer.
Thanks everyone for welcoming me and making my first post so enjoyable and infoming. It's great having a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips. It makes sense that I've only seen a couple like...
So the newer Master Model style flowerpot is the standard inlay for the Bush model now? Thanks for clarifying Joe.
Jordan, I checked out your youtube channel. Thats some wicked good crosspicking. I love that fat tone that the Bush's have and yours sounds great. I had a 2003 before this one but it had to go...
I have visited the Cafe frequently over the last few years but today I officially registered. Amazing what you can get done when you're iced in for the day.
Anyway, I have a 2005 Sam Bush Model...
Please change mandojunkie to Greg Potter. Should have read this before I registered. Thanks. Looking forward to posting.
