    Ummm.... that 1942 F-4 does not seem to have an 'elevated' fingerboard (i.e. - raised off the top plate), but rather a truncated fingerboard......

    I had originally thought 1917, but F5Loar has the Spann book and he researched it and it is most likely built in 1914 and shipped in 1915, based on serial # & FON.
