"Eastman mandolins are very well-made, excellent attention to detail, and a high ratio of hand-crafting."

I wouldn't call myself a purist; I just like the sound of a mandolin, and I tend not to like electronic sounds of any description. I don't think one is qualitatively better , it's just my preference....

Done. There was another one where she was naked, but I think this a family-friendly forum and some might object. (I wouldn't!) Besides, she's just as beautiful with clothes on, IMO...
My tech, a lifelong mando player, says the out-of-tuneness is part of the mando's charm. I watched Ricky Skaggs tune about 19 times during a show...
I have no interest in pedals for mando myself, but to each his own. I only think that if the only reason you use a pedal is because the "twanginess' offends some of the faithful, well, I wouldn't do...
It sounds like you are prone to being influenced by others' opinions. I don't mean that as a criticism. And on forums you get a lot of opinions, and there's a group set of values or priorities...
Just bought one. I like it.
Actually it's an Em11. But I understand what you mean.
Carry on.

Really? The censored word is only a colloquial which refers to breaking wind...
There can never be too many mentions of Milla...
Now also playing in Them Crooked Vultures with Dave Grohl and Josh Homme. I love that he's making new music and not content just to play in "Old ##### of Rock" tours!
And guitarist.
Very good place. I've been there and recommend it.
Emmylou Harris has that great "Angel Band" CD with some songs that have been mentioned and some others. Killer.

"So you have left me.
Here's the end,
My loyal comrade, fellow, friend,
You've had your day, as all dogs must,

I've owned my Genest for a year now and it still has no dings on it.
I have no idea how that happened.
Doubt it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AB6vtn6QP8o
Probably depends a bit on one's technique. I started developing wear on my Genest F5 from my fingerTIPS (I keep my nails short), so I got some clear plastic "golpeador" material used on guitars, and...
Well, here's the seller's website: http://www.collect1.com/
They seem reputable enough, but I still haven't heard anything that proves that this hat sat on Bill Monroe's (real, not wax) head...
I sent a question about documentation and got the following response:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We purchased the museum from where this hat came. The hat bears his name and came from a museum...
If you play solo, duo or in a small acoustic group, in coffeehouses and other smallish venues, do you ever, sometimes, or always play without a sound reinforcement system? I'm just putting together a...
First off, let me say that I have no problem with "converting songs to bluegrass." I love Del McCoury's versions of "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" and "Nashville Cats."
I just want to digress for...
Cool beans! Thanks. You're vindicating my light picking touch. On guitar (which I've played for many years) I've discovered that a relaxed picking hand/arm, combined with striking the string in the...
