Contact an attorney friend and send a letter demanding a new replacement mandolin.
You did not pay for a damaged mandolin with blemishes. You deserve the mandolin
expected nothing less.

Thanks for the video of Alan and Jesse. Why haven't these great players won Mandolin player of the year?
Jesse Brock's Bush has standard string spacing, standard fret wire, lower action and great...
Yes I have 1993 F5, and 1974 F12 and play a 2000 Bush mostly. However played a 2000 Sim Dailey last week and very impressed.
Why would there be a major difference in sound between a 2000 Gibson/Bush...
For $4000.00 don't be concerned if the mandolin will go up or down in value. Today the A Stiver is certainly worth the money
and will be a dream to play for years. I played a Stiver over the...
Steve: I have 1993 F5 Custom made in Custom shop with Verzi. Pretty sure you signed it.
Don't thing there are many later vintage Gibson mandolins with the Verzi.

Nashville has it right, Carter Vintage have great examples of the finer mandolins and all string instruments. I was there in Sept. and had a great afternoon. More fine mandolin added since then, I'm...
I agree you can't go wrong with Ellis, Gilchrist, Dud, Twiggs etc.
But you will still have Gibson F5 fever.
Yes Collins oval Back black looks good. My request for big neck was not very clear / late at night that post.
Collins A nut is 1 3/16 same as the Gibson/Bush F5 I play.
Thanks to all for input...
Anyone aware of builder / company offering A style wide neck mandolins.
Prefer oval model new or used.
How often is the norm for changing strings on up right bass? Englehart is maker and played about 5 hours per week never exposed to elements. Came with steel strings from factory about 7 years ago....
A friend has a 1979 F5L Gibson with additional serial number stamped into the head stock back. The second serial number appears to stamped by different tool and not as neat as original. Appreciate...
Yes I check Ebay for Gibson's and other interesting mandolin stuff about once a week. At the same time also view classic car auctions and other collectable items. Don't see anything not cool about...
I think Bill's mandolin should be here with me on this snowy afternoon. It is good we can view the famous mandolin in the company of instruments with the same stardom.
Many nice mandolins in the $ 10,000.00 range in Café classifieds now. Check the Altman/Loar for one. Sounds like you are on fire with the mandolin, you should have the best. Your ability or how good...
The deal with Curly is: Curly was and still is one of the best tenor singers in Bluegrass. Curly was exactly what Flatt & Scruggs needed to complete there sound. The mandolin in the Foggy Mountain...
Place graphite ( pencil lead ) in the saddle and nut grooves. Allows the strings to settle into the fresh grooves. Probably not the tuners on the newer Kentucky.
Trade cars less often and buy GMM, GIL, DUDE, etc. Classic cars $ 25.000.00 / Bass boats $ 50,000.00. Playing mandolin is a pretty good deal/get the best. High end mandolins keep better value than...
I would like to have the wood paneling for my man cave.
Thumbs up on wild graphics, neat art.
Little girl and the Dreadful Turkey.
Bill Monroe then all the rest.
Monroe played from heart, soul and excitement. Good for us Monroe learned from the trees, birds, wind and not from a structured
music program. Monroe was pushing the band setting the woods on fire...
There is a picture of Dave Appollon holding a mandolin on the current web page of MandolinCafe. What year, model etc. is the mandolin?
Replaced the machine original tuners on the 2002 Gibson/Bush mandolin with 309 Grover to complete my Cafe post. Thanks for the advise,
Ed
Mandroid: Thanks for reply, I wasn't sure and knew someone from Café would provide quick answer. I play the G/B per question
many thanks. Who made machine tuners in the early 70's ? Which machine...
