Still miss owning that instrument.....great sounding instrument with a great history attached to it!
The one I bought from you in the mid 80's was pretty darn close.....
with all the less than stellar craftsmanship that went into the mandolins of the 20's isn't some of this a bit of a "tempest...
I would agree....looks nice and not a bad price
Yeah those tuners are cheesy....
and very accurate on their model specs and numbers of production....unlikely to ever be such an oddity....
So you take a Regal? tenor from the '30's and change the keys....make up a headstock label that says Martin etc.....
Curious ...curious....curious
...
Perhaps someone from the Cafe has messaged the owner.....or perhaps he or she is on the Cafe but now they have it all buttoned up......no 1940's reference.....no 1929 date... just a nice looking...
Saw this in the The Bay.....says 1929 A4....then gives the serial number and says it is a nice piece from the 40's
Ah but the keys, pickguard, no truss rod etc tells a different story.....cmon man...
These are the worst excuses for a mandolin I have every played.......and they look just as bad....
I know....I know.......yes I am being OCD....but it just chaps my butt every time I see these......I think of the fools that will bite on it just cause "it's such a great deal...
and now we have the F4 included along with several guitars etc......
These are the same pictures that used over and over for this scam.....same mandola....same snake head....same guitars only this time that didn't use the F4.
I'll bet that Tom Isenhour and I have...
Might you be able to tell us how to do that rather than having to report each listing?
and let's toss in an early 50's D-28 as well!

and there are four of these on Ebay also
Many times the bastards will also have Martin guitars and other items for sale as well.......great folks these account stealing turdmuffins!!!

Over the past year or so I must have reported these same photo listings several hundred times....they are the gift that just keeps on giving!!
Now that is an unusual mandolin!!!
As an engineer I have often heard this definition of stupidity
"Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome"
Several threads have appeared on this "tortuous" story of the...
From my observations ....Truss Rods....late late '21......adjustable bridges later '21.....aluminum top bridge '21....Cremona brown F4's '21.....So '21 is a a pivotable year
Bought several instruments from him.....always top notch
Me too and no answer as well....
I too made honest bids on the peghead but with all of this nonsense ......."Eh go (*&%^(*&^ and I will spend my money elsewhere"
