I think I got part of the melody after looking at some piano sheet music. (tab starts on "If my words could glow")

Lol. I think playing on band for three years spioiled me. Having all the sheet music readily available and person to person instructions. Never had to work to figure out music :D
Thanks for the help Journey. My eyes and ears aren't trained enough to figure out that it's in G lol.
(He's totally holdin' out on us Stern.)
Tnt,
That's awesome. You wouldn't happen to have tabs for the melody parts? Or at least could you tell me what the chords are?
Do ittttt.
I would give my left nut for any instruction how to play this beautiful piece of music.
Does anyone know any willie nelson songs on mandolin?
of Montreal. The Beatles. Die Toten Hosen. Pink Floyd. Blind Melon
Essentially Stoner Jams Twenty-Ten.
Mine says "No. I'm a not freaking banjo. Banjos are round and look like a snare drum with a neck and strings."
Thanks :D
I would freakin' love it if someone did a mandolin cover of I Feel Fine.
It'd be even cooler if they had tabs so simple folks like me could learn it.
Thats my little beatles mandolin fantasy.
Chuck,
I think you just scored about 15,000 cool points with this. You're now the record holder :D
I've always been fascinated by how insturments are built and have been considering trying it when I'm a bit older and have a job to pay for materials. but I was wondering where builders get their...
Oh my god that is amazing.
Mandocello. I think I have a new favorite insturment.
So yeah the song that I have in the key of C has C G A F (1, 5, 6, 4) so to go to the key of G I would do G D E C (1, 5, 6, 4)
Oh my god that was the best explanation I've ever had ever.
I have a song that is in the key of C and features the chords C G F and A. If I wanted to change this into a different key (let's go with G) what do I do? I have a feeling that it involves scales.
Yeah, didn't know you could take out the B. But thanks for your help. :D
Hi!
Totally failed at looking at the next page where there is a thread on Pink Floyd, so I'llchange my question to, "How do I delete this thread as to avoid further embarresement?"
Perhaps you could make traveling Laundro-Mat bands? Play huge shows in Laundro-mats across the nation?
Alright, so the 9th of the G scale is A. Which means that I'd play the 2nd fret of the G string, an open D, 2nd fret of A string, and 3 fret of E. Which gives me the notes ADBG. Is that right?
