    Jim I got the nuts from lee valley here in Canada, around 10 dollars a pound. There were 12 nuts to the pound.. So with shipping it was just under 20 dollars. Thanks for interesting websites guys

    I can post some finished picks.. I had a nut sliced up and some regular picks on top, the seem slippery but not oily.. Teflon like.. one must play..

    nice job, I made a few out of straps I bought at a leather store for 99cents a piece, I cut 3 straps inside the big strap and braided as one piece, looks neat , very similar as your shoelace strap...
