  1. Re: Guitar (not mando) Advice for what to do with it

I have decided to keep it and look for the clear pick guard as suggested. The $200-300 I might get isn't worth the heartache I would feel if anyone in the family asked me to bring it over for a get...
  2. Re: Guitar (not mando) Advice for what to do with it

Thank you for your detailed response. I don't take it as a knock at all. I totally get it's not a "big name" and priced higher than beginner level. I'm not sure keeping it is an option. Space is...
  3. Re: Guitar (not mando) Advice for what to do with it

I need to post some more stuff they've done. It's not our best year this year but they're still doing ok. I hadn't thought about the raffle thing. Not a bad idea!

    Hi Folks,

I have not posted here in quite some time. I would love your advice and there are likely lots of people here who have opinions on this.

Re: My dream room is finally finished!

Thanks! When I taught in Miami (for 21 years) my music room was a free standing separate building from the rest of the school, so my door was exposed to the elements. Now I'm in a hallway and I can...

Re: My dream room is finally finished!

I've been teaching so long I don't "incorporate" anything. I just do what the heck I want and totally ignore the curriculum. LOL! When you're good at it and an established teacher, NO ONE cares or...

Re: My dream room is finally finished!

It's pretty loud. I use brushes rather than sticks and hands on all the drums. Helps cut down on the sound. I asked the fire marshall about acoustic tiles for sound and he said NO NO NO. Fire...

Re: Primal fear of changing strings...

I do get stabbed occasionally, but I just look at that as an opportunity to check my blood sugar. And it's usually high due to the stress of changing mandolin strings. :-)
