    Bruce Jones mandolin

    Anybody know what happend to Bruces CE Ward mandolin after he died it was a pretty good mandolin maybe some of you North carolina boys know maybe F5 Loar??:mandosmiley:

    never saw Lester or Loretta play it but I have seen Bruce pick Just a rose will do many times. Think Josh Graves may have fingerpicked some of the old Flatt and Scruggs tunes at one of Bruces...

    It was a very early attempt ov inlay by Ce Ward . He later did very nice banjo necks and the inlay was very good.Also CE ward f5s are verygood:mandosmiley:

    I dont know who owns this guitar now but i am pretty sure It belonged to Bruce Jones. He had it for sale a few years ago for 9500. I know its a 48 but as I stated it was heavily modified by CE Ward...

    This apears to be the late Bruce Jones d28. He was a prominant bluegrasser from NC who passed away november of last year. The late Ce Ward did all the work on this one. i HAVE PLAYED IT MANY TIMES IT...

    Looks like an Aria PM780 to me. Seems like I heard that maybe Bob Shue might have done this for some one in the 70s or 80s but could have been someone else.
