  1. Re: Sam and the McCoury's at a farm in Iowa

I just saw Ronnie at Grey Fox and it looked like he was using his old Gilchrist and not the Loar. He was on fire, as usual but even more so!

    Re: Swannanoa Mando/Banjo Week

I'd like to attend some of the evening concerts, as I'm local. Are non-campers able to do that?

    Re: Newson F5's at Gruhn

I've known Paul for a some time now and have felt his mandolins have been under the radar for a long time. He is definitely a luthier to check out; builds mostly by hand (no CNC), develops...

I owned one from that era and it was really good. Wish I never sold it.
  10. Re: Kentucky Master Model With Varnish Finish

I bought a blem varnish model KM1000 from The Mandolin Store a while back that also looked like a reaction of the varnish with the case. Played/sounded great while I owned it.

Re: Protection for exposed wood on mando?

Not sure myself how this happened, as this is a mandolin I'm taking in on a trade. Not too concerned about appearance but wanted to make sure there was n't any future issue/damage. Sounds from the...

Protection for exposed wood on mando?

    142640

I've got an older Flatiron F5 that has some serious wear resulting in exposed wood (lacquer gone) on the scroll and below the E strings. Is there a certain kind of oil I could/should apply...
  14. Re: Got MAS? - Stay Away From The Classifieds; It's Rockin Right

Seems like a lot for a Flatiron, no?
  15. Re: Article: Looking Forward with Sarah Jarosz

Nice, comprehensive interview Brad. She's one of my favorites...and beyond her immense talent, her wonderful sense of humility and respect for the music is equally impressive.
