Hey notepicker, I'll be there too! Front row. Looking forward to it.
I have a 2006 MD515 ser. Number 450. Would put it up against most Gibsons I've heard. Always get comments on its sound at jam sessions
Anyone one else going to see Doyle Lawson concert in Tallmadge ohio on Sept 20 2014?

I'm staying overnight tonight in the woodhaven MI area. Anybody want to play a couple hrs of bluegrass let me know. Will play in a public area of the hotel.
Thanks Justus, you guys sound good!
Hope to see ya there flatrock. Don't know any coal bucket relatives.
Anybody else attending next weekend. Nov. 8 and 9th. 2013
I'm hoping to be there both days.
Would be nice to jam with some fellow Mandolin Cafe members!
Yeah I started running yesterday when I looked at it again.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Thanks guys for the info.

Saw an A style mandolin that is going for a silent auction, and could only see it through a display case.
To me the Gibson letters didn't look right. Can anyone give me any information on this one....
I love Bluegrass Junction. Listen to it 10 hrs a day on my ear muff headsets. Good variety of styles. I believe bluegrass in general today would not be as popular if it were not for venues like sat....
Daijoki,
I did the same thing to my 515 about 4 months ago and am very glad I did. Not worried about resale value since i'm planning on keeping it for life. The bare neck is probably the biggest...
Looks like the 515 is for sale on the classifieds now.
If you're ever in the area on the 1st and 3rd Thurs. of the month, from Oct-April (no Dec), there is a good jam at Quail Hollow State Park in Hartville Oh. Hartville is only 15 miles south of Kent....
