I play the Sam Bush monels on mine and they sound great.
I try different string sets but I always come back to Sam's. They sound pretty good right outta the package, they feel good on my fingers and they last a pretty long time. Like Sam said, "They...
Guitars yes, B@nj0s ...how could you tell?
Stunning!
Sounds like the new year is starting out good for you!
I'm resolved not to bring more than 3 more mandolins in the house. I think 5 is plenty until I learn how to play it ;)
I'm going to get both mandolins a good setup and replace the bridge on the...
Hey KD, was that an F or an A? Was it at Melodee in Leesburg?
Very nice....a guitar player by nature?
It's a fake, the tuners are all wrong and it's a bad overspray.
Doesn't matter, no self-respecting Bluegrass Mandolinist would do it because screwing in light bulbs ain't no part of nuthin. ;)
What Big Joe said ;)
Joe, a gentleman and a scholar! I salute you.
Yup. Shawn's singing pretty loud and wailing on the mando but still...one d@mn! loud mandolin! When the tone gets more complex on that one, look out! I'd say his waiting and wondering paid off...
Not to draw attention away from the singing but.... dude, that's one loud mandolin!
This is funny timing wise....last night we had a friend over and she and my wife are both looking at cars. I just shook my head. 2 years is about the max my wife keeps a car. I'm on year 4 with...
That's cool. I've often thought about using the spruce soundboard from old piano for mandolin tops. How does she sound?
That is odd but with as many mandolins as Dennis ships, I would guess they were pretty sure about the way it was packed. Still, everyone makes a mistake now and again....
The one at FQMS is new with a factory warranty. The price on the site is MAP and I'm pretty sure you could get a deal.
Looks good, sounds great Shawn....enjoy the heck out of it!
That's a beaut for sure!!
Now that's a long scale....
You would think so but from the look on her face, an answer was required ;)
I suspect it may have had something to do with the unfinished mandolin I've been building for 3 years, the unfinished...
Congratulations Shawn! I'll bet it sounds sweet. Post some clips when you get it!
My wife asked upon getting my second mandolin, "How many mandolins do you need?"
I said, "One more than I have."
That's MAS.
Hey John...not to hijack Kevin's thread but...the CA bridge is something I've considered for my LM-700...how do you like it?
Just have Joe's shop do it. No fuss, no muss and I'll testify it's a good one.
