Any feedback from the attendees?
I Heard from Tony they are now $7500, with a 2 year wait. I didn't buy this as an investment however - to keep and play.
Wish I could be there at IBMA. No roughness at all on the finish, I think that look is more due to the fact that I had to shrink the digital pic to size to attach. There are no "mistakes" and I agree...
I should add I ordered it with tonebars. Sounds good now, I'm sure it'll sounds really good in 4-5 years after I put a hurtin' on it.

My new 2006 Duff. Varnish finish, red spruce top, one piece back, Waverlys, radiused board, small pickguard (not pictured). A dream to play and an instrument of remarkable beauty that does not really...
I put American Waverlys on my Australian made mandolin, a 2006 Duff. I like them alot better than what I had before, they are more precise, and think also a factor you can consider is their effect on...
If, like me, you need to frequently resort to an antidote to the sappy, sweet and all too perfect sounding kind of bluegrass that goes around, I suggest you try the latest hard-core grass recordings...
A great story. Those folks at the hospital hardly knew what hit them. What a character! I bet Frank is better than ever, and FRANKly I'm glad they caught this early. Well, it was nice talking to...
A great, tragic loss. My prayers go out to his family and co-workers. Truly, the end of an era. We bid you a fare-thee-well, friend. Be sure to give our best to Big Mon, and to the other bluegrass...
Well, it's on its way. I thought I'd post a picture of my new 2006 Duff with none other than Tony Williamson, through whom I am acquiring this fine mandolin from Down Under/OZ. He has reported...
Pics and details will be posted as soon as I get it in hand.
I understand my new Duff has arrived in the States, and I will be making final settlement within the week. I'll post pics (as soon as I figure out how!).
Time to press the EASY Button. You want a Nashville made Flatiron Festival F. They hover around $2000, but I've seen them as low as $1550. Still you're essentially buying a Gibson F5G for thousands...
Are there others readily available other than 16 Gems?
F5joe: Be sure to let us know if/when there is a Duff get-together scheduled this summer.
I'll be getting my Duff F5 in May after about a year and half after I bought out a previous person in line's spot. Tonebars, varnish, and I am even springing for the Waverly tuners. I believe Tony...
Me too. Anxiously checking my mailbox daily since 2/28.

Happy Birthday Mike! I heard that on NPR the other day too - a clip of "Evening Prayer Blues" - great stuff and already ordered directly from Mike's website. Turning 50 is looking down at the fuel...
Plus they've got that great songwriter, Ted Pitney. Try their new EP as well, available at their website. Good stuff.
