Thanks so much for taking the time to lay that out for me - I'll have to work on damping the G on my electric. I've never had a problem with it on my acoustic,hopefully the Phoenix will be the same....
I've been wondering the same thing about the two flatwound strings you mentioned, I'm going to playing a new Phoenix Jazz model in a few weeks and plan to experiment with both. #I will let you know...
