I would start with an "A" style first. It will be much easier and you can get your feet wet with the critical areas like the neck joint, binding, top and back graduations
all the prep work for...
I would love a kit like Jon Mann's SEM-8.... but he won't sell it as a kit.

I also have the 14" Grizzly saw and love it...but you will need dust collection. If you don't it will shoot dust straight up the blade channel and out....everywhere.

Yea Ed, I have been working with the sound man and the drive and gain on the pre amp is all the way down and the instrument is still way too "hot".

I'm using the Iwata Eclipse and love it. I do all my staining with it, solid tints and bursts.
