Thanks, gentlemen, I will look into these. I appreciate the suggestions!

I wonder if there are any folks getting together to play fiddle tunes in Southeast portland area. I live in Milwaukie and I need a push to keep the practice up.
If none ... anyone want to start...
Here is link to a Fretboard Journal documentary about the recording of Norman Blake's new CD, "Wood, Wire & Words." Only shows him playing guitar but I always want to learn his latest fiddle/mandolin...
Last year I got an F5 that was signed off in September 1980. One section of binding near the heel looked like someone took a big bite out of it. The store (Westwood Music in L.A.) replaced and toned...
By button, I mean hit the print command and look at the printer's dialog box.
The other thing to do is see if your printer has a "PDF" or "Save to PDF" button. My HP printer does a fine job of turning everything I have into a pdf file.
Thanks to everybody for the tips. They all go into the "Moving to Portland" book. Maybe I'll get a chance to hear the tiltman's band when I'm visiting the sister in early April. Thanks again, one and...
I get to retire at the end of May of this year and my bride and I are moving to Portland, Oregon where the air is clean and the water tastes good right out of the tap. I'll be up the second week of...

Yes, that's what Chris Thile sez in his video.
"666." (Because this mandolin is a beast.)
It's tablaturized here at he Cafe under the title "Ootpick Waltz."
Because, without it, he'll never be able to make his bones on the bluegrass circuit.
You did the right thing. You didn't rant, you didn't throw the sound guy under the bus, you soldiered on. Getting off the stage and setting up in the middle of the circle as people gather 'round is a...

After trying (and failing) to save up enough money to upgrade from my much used Kentucky, I sold off half the stamp collection to get me in the neighborhood of my $5,000 budget. I looked around L.A....
What a pleasure it has been over the years to hear him play and sing. I believe he was the first Dobro player to free himself from the tyranny of playing in positions. A game changer for sure.
I vote for all three, learned gradually over the course of the rest of your life! All the advantages listed above plus this: when you write your first original tune (and I am sure you will one day)...

And how!! (Especially the 405.)
And on the east coast, freeways are "95," etc., as in "get on 95 to 66..." Here in L.A. we drive on "the 405" or "the 5." Since freeways ARE L.A., the "the" then seems to add weight or significance...
