Any thoughts on what a Flatiron Performer A is worth...really fine condition...only cosmetic marks and some finish checking...thanks.
I cannot figure out how to post a photo, but those are the same as mine...I am wondering where I might find some replacement ivoroid tuner buttons or would it be easier to just replace the tuners...
Can anyone tell me what kind of tuners these are...they are on my Gibson Mandolin Store Custom F5 mandolin...thanks.
I believe it is an Orrico tailpiece...
Does anyone know where to find IVOROID tuner buttons for a Northfield A5 Special...I believe they are Gotoh tuning machines...thanks.
Anyone try these picks...made in USA...thoughts and feedback...
I recently played the Goldtone 17 fret Irish Tenor with the 12 inch pot...around $650 with nice gig bag, brass tone ring, planetary tuners and quite pleasing to the eyes and ears as well...
Anyone out there ever string a 4 string tenor scale uke to GDAE tuning? I am thinking specifically the Vorson electric tenor uke; it is only like a $100. I believe it is a 17 inch scale...maybe...
I have signed up for this challenge as well; two different times; to date, I have received nothing?
I have a 1922 Gibson A2 with an original patent stamped standard (gapped) bridge. The bridge is tipping forward and has a small crack in it. I am thinking about replacing it with a new Cumberland...
Yes it is possible, but be very careful; those pins are spring loaded and the pins and springs will pop out when you lift the cover. I have not attempted to put the cover back on yet?
I've played both. The Red Valley is much louder and projects better. Workmanship is also better on the Red Valley; IMO...
I think flat-top ovals project better than carved topped ovals; IMO
There are a few Red Valley Flat-tops currently in the Cafe classifieds.
A truly sad thing...such an amazing performer/song writer...privileged to have seen him multiple times over the last 40+ years...finally gets to play again with his ol' buddy Steve Goodman...RIP...
Anyone know what tuners are used on a Gibson TMS F5 Custom? They look like the same tuners used on most Gibsons? I need some replacement knobs. Thanks.
Has anyone tried tuning a tenor uke to mandolin tuning; if so what were the results; pros and cons? Thanks. :mandosmiley:~o)
Thanks, I guess I missed that?
Does anyone know what type of neck joint is used on the Pava Mandolins? Thanks. ~o):mandosmiley:
Maybe not ultra-mini, but I use the "legendary" Pignose...an oldie but goodie...
Anyone know who makes a light gauge (10-34) ball end electric mandolin string...possibly nickel wound not bronze? Thanks. ~o):mandosmiley:
I have a 2004 Derrington A9; not much to look at, but absolutely, flat-out, just plain kicks butt when it comes to sound?
Hard to beat; Gid Tanner and His Skillet Lickers...
