    Re: upgrade from F9

I own an F-9 Custom (David Harvey), a fabulous Collings MT2v, and a Silverangel distressed F model. They are all outstanding instruments, but each has it's own voice. I believe a great sounding F-9...

    Re: Phoenix Bluegrass #429

Congrats Fatt-Dad! Beautiful mandolin. I've only played one Phoenix, but it made a extremely favorable impression on me! Rolfe makes a great mandolin.

    Re: Toneguard and cases

They don't compare at all. I have one of the pivoting spring loaded models somewhere in my music room. They primarily provide a great way to scratch the back of your mandolin. It's in the pile of...

Depending on the arrangement of singers and musicians, my groups go by:

    Re: Kentucky KM-1050 New Model

During the first couple of years on the mandolin, I preferred 1 3/16 inch nut width, as I progressed in my skills, I transitioned to 1 1/8 inch, and finally all the way back to the Gibson standard 1...

Loudbox Artist has served me very well. You've got combo inputs (XLR and 1/4 inch plug) and phantom power on both channels which gives you lots of versatility. Excellent sound quality and power.
