That's pretty strange...I would think you could say pretty much what you wanted here...not everyone is a big CT fan...
I happen to be a fan but I can't think of anything you could say that would...

Adal04 looks like you have one of the first km-1000's made in 1978 they did not put labels inside them the first year they built them
You shouldn't get the bill monroe thing because he started the thing called bluegrass and putting the mandolin in country and rock music so thile's name should not even be mentioned next to monroes.
cool looking
I have heard him being compared to being like bill monroe because bill was a innovator

I haved been warned to not express my opinons on thile and his loar.So he is just the best mandolin player that ever hit the f5 world.
You mean, beautiful Central New York and the Finger Lakes region, right? Not as in New York, New York? Not that there isn't plenty of mando interest downstate but Pickin' in the Pasture is definitely...
The longest line i ever saw was the welfare cheese line. the doors opened at 6 oclock and the line shut down at nine. pm i might add
Show us some pics of your mandolin cases without the mandolin

Eric if you had a choice to buy a 1980 gibson f5l for 4500 or the km-1000 for 1600 wich one would you choose?
Thanks eric i think i will buy it.
What would be a fair price for one?
Did it have a gibsonish tone and was loud volume wise
Anybody own one?
