I'd say do what big joe says, use a scraper. I use a spokeshave, but that may take off too much material.

I'm no expert, but I'd leave it - sometimes the little blemishes make something unique. Why is it that you can't leave it?

they probably don't have an F-style kit, I've never seen one, but it makes me think of one - I guess if Saga were to make an F-style it would look a lot like that.

looking at that kit makes me think of a Saga. I'm really not sure, but Sagas generally tend to be good in terms of build quality, though hardware can tend to need improvement.

That looks really nice! I like the army/navy style mandos, they've got some element to them that a lot of archtops seem to lack.
