    I use mostly Golden Gates , Wegen, Dawg and ultex just depends on my mood or what is on top in the skoal can , that I store my picks in.

    I own one of the older "baby Strats" works fine for me . My only complaint is the neck is too narrow . Keep in mind it is an asian mando and will not give you the qualities found in an A9.

    I am a retiree so time is not a problem . The mandolin has a flat finger board so bending the frets is not required . Probably will tackle the job anyway I have had the mando for about 10 years and...

    need a refret job

    My old mando is in need of new frets . Been thinking of doing it myself. What tools are needed and will I need a new finger board if i replace them with banjo fret wire ?

    is it difficult to change the nut?

    I have an old fender "baby strat " mandolin that needs to have the nut replaced or lowered . What problems can expect ? How best to avoid them ?

    I must be crazy I get by using my golden gate pick on guitar as well as on my mando . I seem too lose the thin guitar picks rather easily . After all there waas atime when all picks were rounded .

    how do you play tunes in e flat
