I have been attempting to do the same thing as you for quite a while now, and ran into the same problem. When the changes came too fast, or the speed of the tune was too fast, I would dump the arps...

I had an excellent time. The jamming was a blast. I enjoyed meeting Amanda and hearing her clean and creative picking. As always, I was blown away by my mandolin heroes, Alan Bibey and Don...
I'll be there. My first time at MCN. I'll be playing my Phoenix Ultra and a borrowed Martin D16. Looking forward to it! See you all there.
I have played both. I liked the Pava better, but purely as a matter of personal taste. Both were of exceptionally high quality and extremely well made, but the Pava, to my ears, was exquisite. I ...
I like USPS money order.
The Lucky Girls.
I just PMed you with a stupid question MikeDman. I LOVE this band. Saw them at IBMA. Hope to see them again soon.
Yes, please.
Oh, that mandolin is breathtaking. Congratulations!
Hope the surgery goes well. You surely have my sympathy.
I saw her recently in Marion, NC. Despite enough rain to dampen anyone's spirits, she put on a very entertaining show with high energy and a tight and talented band, both instrumentally and vocally....
Congratulations, and I hope you enjoy your fine mandolin for a long time to come. You made an excellent choice.
Thanks very much, Vinni and Scott! (As you might expect) I can use some picks. I've bought V-Picks several times, and I really liked 'em. Wish I knew where they were. Clear's not a great choice...
Yes, please. I'll try not to lose them if I win.
Whoo Hoo!! Love the Steel drivers. Didn't know about this. I'll be a-goin'. Thanks
I agree, but I think the talk should not come after one's been doing a slow burn. For one's own sake, it should come after a long and calming drink of water and privately, if possible. About a year...
I'm there. All five days. Would love to see you, Jeff! (I'm Laura who took some very helpful lessons from you a few years ago.) I'll be wearing my Cafe hat, and I would enjoy meeting you folks.
Swannanoa was awesome. What a splendid camp. I like very much the instructional model, having the same instructor on a defined topic for each of the five days. You could take up to four classes,...
I'm looking forward to seeing you all. I don't have any instrumental excuse to see my favorite luthier, Mr. Dudenbostel, but I hope you won't mind if I drop by anyway. I'm coming ready to JAM with...
The latter. They are pressing down, then plucking and lifting in one smooth motion. Or at least that's they way I've gotten it. A good callus helps a bunch.
Yeah, it's pretty funny. I especially like Jane's dubbed voice. A lot of mandolin in the soundtrack, though.
Thanks Greg.
So, are you just going to leave me hanging. I'll guess "Greystoke, The Legend of Tarzan" just to give you a reason to tell which movie you referenced.
And btw, a two-point is a great choice.
Hey BSG, was that you whose 305 I got to try out in the 2nd floor lounge of Lloyd? It sure was fine sounding.
Philphool's new toy is as good of a new toy as a player could ever want. I do love...
At Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Camp this past week, I tried out a couple of Eastman 305s recently purchased by fairly new players. I was extremely impressed with how much mandolin the owners had gotten...
Although the acoustics are great and the privacy is a plus, I find this picking seat can produce numbness in certain extremities.
