Anybody seen one of these? Idea of market value?
So what failed policies are you referring to? I have been in retail music for 37 years and I am thinking very hard about leaving this profession, though I have loved it for years and really can't...
Has anybody had to fill out a W9 when selling your instruments on consignment? if so, why?
Sorry guys, you are wrong on this. If you take 40% off of $700.00, that figure is $420.00. That is not a true markup of 40% from cost. This is what I was talking about and why people don't understand...
I beg to differ, Allen. If a dealer sells a $500.00 cost item at 700.00, that is less than a 30 per cent mark up over cost. 40 per cent would be $833.00. This type of thing is what makes people think...
The older, all black version of the AKG C3000 sounds nice, with warmth as well as great clarity. You can get those used around $125.00
Has anyone made this comparison yet? I'm wondering about getting an Englemann Northfield, maybe to replace the F5G. Would any of you consider this? Love bluegrass, but play a lot of Americana and...
Furch is focusing resources on their guitars, there wasn't enough demand for mandos. SHS international id the distributor in the US and they are trying to get us to buy into the line.
I just got a F5G and it sounds incredible, fit and finish may be a shade less than pre flood. When I inspect the inside, not as clean as I've seen other builders do, but this is a lowly F5G after all.
We just got a new F5G in our store today, first since the flood, and WOW, I'm very impressed with the tone of this mandolin! 31 years of listening to mandolins, this one sounds great without any...
Red would be cool too! Thanks!
Still would like to see Dash Crofts interviewed, he exposed a lot of folks to the mandolin albeit in the folk rock/jazz genre.
Count me in as one who's music career was started by listening to Seals and Crofts. Awesome musicians way ahead of the pop culture then. I would love to meet Dash!
When I first read this thread on Sat., I thought, Well, I'm doing sound for Rhonda in Appomattox on 03/15, so I'll look myself. After soundcheck, I went backstage and looked in her case and thru the...
I've always liked using an AKG C 1000, they have a warmer midrange and a nice top end as well. It also has the advantage of operating off a 9V battery in case you don't have phantom power on your...
