Michigan always sounds much better
Spending time with my wife, collecting post impressionist art & 18th century American furniture, playing golf, traveling for work, reading books on art & music, exercising, gardening, working on the...
Any idea how to attach straps to a hard mandolin case ? I have a F-5 lefty and lefty hard case. I travel quite often and find a really need a strap so I can carry over shoulder.
I really appreciate the Pete Martin tip. Thank you !
My biggest problem is picking, then going into a tremolo, then back to picking, then back to tremolo, etc. I quickly loose my rhythm. Ending...
Lefty, who owns the one you made ?
Looks great.
My only lefty I own (F-5) was made by Allen Jones. I love it. I am also a lover of old instruments, like many of us. Thought it may be fun to pursue collecting lefty mandolins. Will be tuff, I...

I use 1.5 mm D'Andrea Pro Plec Rounded Triangle Picks, is that close to the suggestion ?

I would go with a custom builder, there are so many excellent builders. I have played a few Webers and liked em but did not love em.
Wow
Lefty F from 1915. On a new mission. Wonder where to start the hunt ?
Tx for the info. How do you know if an A is lefty ? Maybe pick guard ?
I searched thru posts did not find anything on the F-4.
There are great mandolins under 1K in classified. I have bought & sold via this channel. Folks on here are honest and self regulating. I would keep looking there, make offers, etc.
Does anyone know what might be the oldest lefty F-5 on the planet ? I do not believe there were any made until maybe the 80's ? I am guessing most lefty players changed over to right handed until...
I am a lefty mandolin player. Been playing for 3 years now. Started with an A Kentucky, forget the model, paid around $300, traded up to a F Eastman for $1100, sold it then had Allen Jones make me...
Lefty's rule.
