    Re: Guitar Center Mandolin Experiences

I have never bought a mandolin from GC until about 4 months ago. I was in the mood for a Gibson F5G and they had this
real good deal of 18 months same as cash which made it really easy to...

Re: Gibson F5G or Weber Yellowston

I would go the other way and say the Gibson F5G. The mandolins coming from Gibson now are off the hook
in quality and sound. Both are nice, but theres nothing like a Gibson

  5. Re: Charles Derrington or Danny Roberts signed Gibson Fern

Re: New Gibson Fern at SPBGMA

IMHO- I do believe that the Harvey Era post flood mandolins will soon repace the Derrington Era as far as the best time to buy a Gibson ...they are just coming out too good. Congrats on the new Axe.

    Re: Northfield mandolins

Regarding Mr. Steffey playing the Northfield, I find it ironic that on all of his recordings you really cant tell a difference

    Re: Northfield vs. Gibson F5G

I am of the other mindset with Gibson. I just picked up a new F5G about a month ago and the work that Gibson is sending out now is in my opinion the best I have seen from Gibson in the last 20 years....

Re: 2012 Gibson F-9 Custom Review

Tim, great post on the new Gibson F9. If you say it compares to the Collings and even better, then it must be a Hoss.
