If you view the standard sales page, the AM200 is about halfway down...

Never had a problem with ClearTune on the iPhone - as someone previously mentioned, it is rare not to have the phone with me, and the app works very well.

Thanks for those suggestions - I ordered Alan Alexander's Mandolin Music for Medieval Faires which arrived just today. Some great tunes in it and very helpful to have the CD, too. I think I shall be...

Resource for Medieval and Renaissance Music

Having played around with the Mandolin for a couple of months now, I've discovered a real interest in folk music, particularly early medieval and renaissance stuff.

I've done a few Google searches...

Aside from the (very important) exercises already listed, does anyone here use exercises for their fingers, independent of playing on the instrument? I've tried some flexing and other finger...

    Strumify App for iOS

I came across this app the other day, called Strumify, for iPhone and iPad. It listens as you play tunes and gives feedback, so you can chart your progress. It's a free app, I only downloaded it...

    Re: An Observation...

If you do a Google search for 'Oval Hole Violin' you get pages of Mandolin images!
  12. Re: How about some butt-kickin' acoustic jazz? Some sweet mando,

Wow. Being fairly new to all this, I'm just starting to pick up on players, styles, groups, genres, etc, that 'til now I have been ignorant about. It's very exciting, and there is some great talent...
  13. Re: How about some butt-kickin' acoustic jazz? Some sweet mando,

I want to play Mandolin like that!

Amazing, I really enjoyed that. Jazz is not usually my thing, but that was very good.

Well, thankfully I don't seem to be suffering from MAS. In fact, the very idea that I would betray my current Mandolin companion by flirting with another device, even more leave her for another, is...

Thanks for the recommendations, I shall try them out.

Mandophyte, I had not yet come across this, so thanks for pointing it out, Looks very interesting.
  18. Re: Tools Needed for Creating Music and Tab Files

Hi, yeah I should have added, photocopying is ok for a few, but the books have pages slightly larger than A4 and the music doesn't always fit on :)
  19. Tools Needed for Creating Music and Tab Files

I was wondering if anyone has any links to tools online (preferably free!) that can help me make copies of music and tab files. I have five or six books with some tunes in each that I can currently...
