Re: Jam Sessions in Eastern NC?

I'm not to far from you and have found nothing in the area. Seems everything is in the Western part, but the only way I'm driving seven hours for a jam is if I hear banjo's behind me :)

You know, now that you mention it, I'd really like to change the name on the headstock to 'THE SKIPPY'

    Re: Radiused Fretboards

The one you like more is going to get played the most. Personally, I like a little radius, but not alot. I don't really like a flat board, but I wouldn't let that get between me and a great mando. In...

Re: Thinking of defiling my 1923 F-4

    Hey Shaun,

The mando's in really good cared for shape, but I wouldn't exactly call it a collector's piece. It really has it in the tone department, ya' know, that aged pure fundamental with gobs...

Thinking of defiling my 1923 F-4

I'm considering having some modifications made to my 1923 F-4.

New fingerboard with a slight radius and new frets which should improve intonation and playability.

    New bridge, nut and tuners.

    Almost forgot about this one:

    Re: Very Irritating event

Kids are fascinated by the mandolin, don't ask me why, they just are. In a similar situation I generally have the kid go and wash his hands then sit him down and put the mandolin in his/her hands and...

Re: Muffled Sound and Sudden Detuning

That happened to me once while playing guitar. Took me a few minutes to find the crack. Whatever it is, take the tension off the instrument right away and start humidifying it.

    Hey Jeff,

A BG jam started up closer to my house. I've been going to this one as it's smaller and quieter and the breaks get passed around pretty evenly.

I still would like to make it down to...
