Maybe there were extenuating circumstances, but maybe not. Without explanation this would infuriate me.

In my experience the schertler definitely needs some eq'ing to get a desirable tone. Scooping the mids, rolling a little off the top end. That's why they sell a preamp.

What j said. That's what I did at greyfox. If there wasn't a mandolin I joined right in. 1 or 2-3 mandos I usually looked for another jam.
