    Re: Beginning Classical mandolin

Oh, I get it. I was just confused. I saw the guy who asked about this has been a forum member for several years, I just figured that meant he'd not be a total beginner.

    Re: Alison Stephens

Very sorry to hear about this. She did a lot for the instrument we all love, and left us such beautiful recordings. She was really a gift for all of us wasn't she. I'll be wearing black tomorrow...

    Re: Alison Stephens

Terrible news. I've spent a few years wishing I had 1/10 her talent on the mandolin.

Very nice song Nigel-thanks for sharing.

    Re: Lo scioglidita

Maybe he should have called it Hot Licks for Classical Mandolin. That would sell like hotcakes I'm guessing. :)

Glad to be of help Bruce. I've played the violin part of this for some time now, and while it sounds maybe a little thin it is still a beautiful piece of music. One thing on my to-do list is to...

Say, if you're a piano player, IMSLP has an arrangement for piano here: http://imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/c/cc/IMSLP10360-Massenet_Meditation_from_Thais__Piano_Transcription_.pdf
