should each foot be flush with the top leaving the gap open
Got a new bridge. It has a gap in the middle. Do I sand the feet down right to the gap? Its a long way to go.
This is a 100 dollar Saga kit mandolin I put together that is over 10 years old which sounds pretty good. Actually better than the Eastman 515 mandolin that I never play. Not looking for a neck set.
I need a new bridge that maybe should be higher than normal because I cant turn the truss rod.
Are Eastman mandolins better than they used to be? I have one from 2005 that i never play. Very thin and quiet even after set ups and new cumberland bridge. Gave up on it. Wonder what its worth.
I have a 2005 515 that I never play. Too quiet and thin sounding.
I bought a 515 in 2005 thinking I was getting this great instrument because they were all the rage. Played it for a couple years before realizing it was way quiet and thin sounding even after a good...
I bought an Eastman 515 in 2005 and never really liked it. Thin and low volume. Bought it online because they were all the hype then. Haven't played it in 10 years. Not even strung up. What are the...
Run across one of these in the classifieds. Any opinions? Words too short for a search.
I wanted to lower the relief of my cheap kit mandolin but the truss rod nut would not turn any more. It is not stuck as it will loosen easily. Read something about adding washers to the rod which is...

Can I get longer bridge screws either from a music place or just a hardware store? My neck is a little off and my truss rod won't move.
I think this came off my Eastman and the Cumberland went on the Eastman. The Cumberland will now go on my kit mandolin. I think I might need longer screws. Is that possible?

I am thinking this is the Cumberland.
Feedback is really good. This is what it says when you try to contact them.
We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We...
There is a seller on Ebay who sometimes has used "The Loar" mandolins. Appear to be real pics but the seller isn't set up to ask questions. Also sometimes you go to their other items or store and...
I have 3 bridges on different mandolins. They have been switched around in the past. One is a Cumberland, one is from an Eastman 515 and one is from a cheap kit. How do I determine which is the...
Just wondering why the 590 and the 520 are the same price but the 590 is very stripped down.
Thanks folks. I don't think i'll do any work on it. There was so much hype on these when they came out and I wasn't able to play anything before the purchase. Took a chance. Oh well.
I have a 2005 Eastman 515 that is not very loud and is thin sounding even after pro set up and Cumberland bridge. I haven't played it since I built a Saga kit 7 years ago. I was wondering about...
Anybody know of any Ratliff Country Boy mandolins available in any stores? Searching around all I could fing was an A-style at Elderly.
I buy j75's and a couple 0.40's to replace the 0.41's. Gives me .115,.16,.26,.40. The .12 on the John Pearse sounds interesting but the A is only .15.
I guess I was wondering if it was one of the other models but with a satin finish
Does the Loar lm590 have tone bars? Larger frets?
