Being loud has little to do with the band members, at least in an acoustic band. The sound engineers are pretty much in control of over all volume...the band to a much lesser extent.

What would you include as the cream of the cream of new, non-vintage mandolins? I prefer mandolins traditionally considered bluegrass instruments. I'm trying to educate myself regarding top shelf...
