Definitely check Eastman. I own Martins and Santa Cruz..all incredible guitars. But, I love playing my Eastman. Great guitars.
Correct, Reule...I tend type dyslexic.
CT55...But after reading this, I might try a TAD60 to see how I like it..
This one made by Buck Ruele is more money than most, but is top notch craftsmanship and well worth it. 113085
I'm mainly a guitar player, but I think my advise would be the same whatever the instrument. When asked " What's a good cheap instrument?", I rely the same. There is no good cheap instrument for a...
I've been using this one. It takes the prospective of what key you're playing in and lays out the chords of that key signature. A little weird at first, but once you get use to it's really helpful.

Actually, that's encouraging. All I need is to find a good promoter.
Which is why it's probably a good thing most of us just play for the shear fun of it. :mandosmiley:

I've got one of Buck's straps coming in the mail, right now. Really a nice guy.
If you look closer you will find a lack of Eastman Mandolins in stock, in general. Mostly what yo find in stock are 305's & some 315's.
They are way behind on back orders. I ordered an MD-815V in...
Hopefully it's just my imagination and my ears are off a little today.
I've always enjoyed Peter Rowan's music, in most of it's incarnations.
I just installed a CA armrest on my MD-815V and it seems to have dampened the sound. Is that normal for an armrest? I'm not sure I care for it.
The OP has stated he needs this instrument by spring. To go custom, he not only has to decide which builder's model he prefers, but who can build him what he wants in the time allotted. That could be...
Small drop of Elmer's, push it in and twist. Should do the trick.
Very nice. Nice to have the back story. Thanks.
