I think C.J. got his TRCs from Tom Ellis. https://precisionpearl.com/
Contact Carter Vintage Exchange or Gruhn Guitars. Both will give good advice.
Good luck!
Thanks, Eric. I appreciate that.210353
The Girouard is an A5 tribute with traditional specs, flat board, full peninsula, etc. My other A model is from Stan Miller, flat board but not an A5 tribute.
The first one from Max and Lauri had "The Griffith" inlay (designed by Bruce Harvie). The second run had "The Girouard" inlay. This time they opted for no inlay.

Here is a video I submitted to the Monroe Mandolin Appreciation Society.
I missed this thread when it was posted, but happily stumbled upon it recently. I bought the most recent Griffith Tribute, and couldn't be more delighted! It is really something, powerful yet...
Message the folks at ETL. They are really helpful and should be able to sort you out.

If I remember right, Darol Anger had a Gilchrist that was a kind of a hybrid model. I think he sold it here on the classifieds.

There are great builders all around the Puget Sound, but few shops that carry good mandolins. Dusty Strings is the best bet. Or hang on until we have some festivals...Wintergrass has a bunch of...
I've had one for a while now, and can confirm Glassweb's post. They are a great value. Easily fits an A or F with a toneguard. Very light. The balance is a little odd compared to a Calton when...
Mccabes in Santa Monica should be able to help.
You might try backing out the cog screws a bit. See if it frees them up.

I had a real early 3 point for a while. It was a strong mandolin. It was heavier than most, but very cool. It went back home to John's son Berry.
You might post a wanted ad for a Bob Schneider hybrid...based on your original post. Spruce played one on his Mangler of Bluegrass record.
Jordan Ramsey posted a great version not long ago.
