    Skip (Grey Eagle) has been making some great mandolins - my recent a' is a beaut w/ great tone, had it at a recent jam and couldn't get it back - thanks Bill ( James) lol

    Let me preface this by saying, " if I were to teach a grip I'd go w/ the Marshall, Thile tech..etc Players that come to mind that use pencil/3 finger = Robin Bullock, Ray Lagere, Wayne Benson, David...

    Not to be argumentative, but that's not true - many top mandolin players use the pencil grip, or three finger grip - whatever works best IMO.
