    Yes on an old bowl back. Are now using one from an Il Globo on my 1930's flatback, and it does seem to reduce unecessary vibrations when playing loudly. Thanks for the info.

    De Meglio type bridge

    Does anyone know how the brass wire/rod is fitted to the bridge. Are the ends recessed slightly and the wire sprung? Is there a narrow trough for the wire?
