Paracord is very forgiving, I have made several straps for various instruments!
Thank you Scott and others!
Have a listen to Levon Helm, Dirt farmer, and electric dirt.
My Dad playing guitar in church, leading the singing. Learned those 4-5 piece harmonies. Started drums in freshman year of high school. After high school 2 years in the Navy, after my release started...
One thing I forgot to mention that could matter - at the wedding gig I set up my aux speaker cab and amp at greater separation than usual, so I coupled two cords (one an actual twin conductor speaker...
Hi Drew,
I would be very excited to own a Skip Kelly F5. I too am from Statesville.
Dwight Burks
When asked specifically for FreeBird, we usually show at least one each and say "here's your freebird" or say "guy got a bird he trying to give away" I prefer the first one.
I'm with Tom, but having having set on that couch and playing that A5, I am a fortunate man.
Please keep us posted on your activities, I am about 2 1/2 hours from you.
I don't think they took A5 apart, but I will ask Tut and see what he says. What a great mandolin!

Willie, the sweet spot on mine is right at the end of the fingerboard and keeping the bow at a 90 degree angle with the strings. Go for it!!
I have a celluloid and it is a good pick, nice tone, just afraid of smoking around it.
glad you made it home safe Phil!!
Tut Taylor has the same problem with his left hand as you. He played very tasteful doublestops and tremelos and did not chop chords. I feel confident that your style is well on it's way also.
Link on the cafe homepage to jazzmando. Find the FFcP and have at it.
The Griffith Loar and a Kimble F5. That Kimble actually breathes!
Mike Bunting, thanks for the spelling lesson, never to old to learn.
I recently had a student come in with a Savvanah madolin, he bought it new almost 18 months ago, he got what he paid for. The action was as low as possible without removing material from the bridge....
