Here is a project I've been working on that I just finished. Hope you guys enjoy it and Merry Christmas.https://soundcloud.com/user-3568131/what-child-is-this
I really like the in ear monitors we use at my church. We can change the volume and equalize each channel. We use the Behringer Powerplay P16-M Personal Mixer.
My mandolin has been called a ukulele, banjo, guitar, and a Bass.
I live just twenty minutes from south Bend.
Wasn't me since I'm broke from giving all that money back.
I put both E strings on and tune them both up slowly going back and forth. Repeat for the rest. I have not broke a string with this method.
I own the 220 and its sounds really good. The 300 has better wood and fancy inlays, and usually sounds sightly better then the 220. Both are x-braced.
Picture of the church band I play in performing our Christmas set.

I play the melody of the song since no one else plays it.
Personally, I don't really care what the name is on the headstock. A mandolin should be judged on its build quality and sound.
Very nice now start plucking.
I play worship mainly and I believe that musics purpose in that context is to accompany the singer and congregation.
When I play, it is my instrument that is my voice and a solo is a time for me...
Welcome to to the cafe and more importantly have fun!
Scott, would you change my user name from MandoSam to Samuel David Britton. Thanks.
Greensleeves
My mandolin has Grovers on it and they are super smooth. Have not used Golden Age tuners so don't know how smooth they are.
I play the same model so have fun and learn how to play it and welcome to the cafe.
Two mandolins in your first week that has to be a cafe record.
Welcome to the forum, I started on a rogue it was good so start practicing.
The x bracing suggest it being a lm-300. The Loar use Grovers on their A styles models
not Golden Age. Don't know how it got mislabled. Also post some pictures.
I know about getting frustrated about playing. Sometimes I feel that no one wants to hear me play.
What really helped me is playing with other musicians because they like what I add to the group. ...
Get yourself a Kentucky KM-150, solid woods and great sound. Should be able to find one in the classifieds.
The 220 is x braced I should know since I own one.
Here's my version of Greensleeves.

Or if you must have a fancy F style without the sunburst a Eastman MD315 will do the trick.
