    When asked specifically for FreeBird, we usually show at least one each and say "here's your freebird" or say "guy got a bird he trying to give away" I prefer the first one.

    Willie, the sweet spot on mine is right at the end of the fingerboard and keeping the bow at a 90 degree angle with the strings. Go for it!!

    Tut Taylor has the same problem with his left hand as you. He played very tasteful doublestops and tremelos and did not chop chords. I feel confident that your style is well on it's way also.

    I recently had a student come in with a Savvanah madolin, he bought it new almost 18 months ago, he got what he paid for. The action was as low as possible without removing material from the bridge....
