Hi, I'm in Collegeville about 20 minutes from St Cloud. Would enjoy getting together.
I noticed he sells a lot of watches a few music related things and some tech stuff. Must be a pawn shop..
It hasn't ended as I can see. Maybe Ebay has let it roll. The seller posts it as something it's not but sort of states he really isn't sure in the description . It's apparent he doesn't answer...
Acoustic sound. DPA 4099 or what I use and love K&K Meridian Pro. I don't mount mine like the pic on the web site. I mount mine over the bottom or treble F hole. The sound is great, very acoustic as...
I love my Planet Waves Mini. Tunes find for me and it stays on my head stock in the case or while playing plus it's small and doesn't stick out. Bought it after my Red Snark broke in Aug. the 2nd one...
At the end of the auction writeup it gives the sellers name and location as: Ebay id BRSZ-2)
578 Arbor Hill Rd.
Kernersville, NC 27284

Could be a scam or it could be real....
And poof it's gone. Maybe he got the appraisal from Gruhns. CVSALES1 (the seller) appears to be a pawn shop in Austin Tx. http://www.cashpawnsales.com/index.html is their website and his Ebay store...
Looking at the sellers other auctions makes me think it's a pawn shop or something like that. Looks like nice wood on the mando and for what it's worth even if it's not a 24 Gibson or a Gibson at all...
Well I bit and ordered one brand new off Ebay for $319. I'll let you know what I think when it comes and I get to try it in some stage settings.
Yeah, I think their mounting pic is all off. I think I would mount it over the treble sound hole from the lower bout below the tail piece.
Has anyone tried or had experience with this new K&K product?

Looks like just the thing I want..
I've always used Boiled Linseed Oil and have for over 40 years on fret boards. Very sparingly, let sit for a few minutes and wipe off with clean cloth. I do it about once a year when I work on my...
I've been playing for 27 years in a acoustic band (Bluegrass, Old Time, Latin, Country Blues ect) in the Twin Cities (Mn) area and we have a drummer. By the way he is a great drummer which makes a...
I now see that. Thanks for the info.

Mighty high bids and at 145k right now with reserve not met? Did Jimmy own this?
Nudie was a mandolin player also. I have his solo album (lp) I picked up on Ebay a couple of years back. Didn't see that mentioned in this discussion but maybe I missed something.

I learned "Wheel's" from an old lp by Sam Mcgee 40 years ago. It's an instrumental and Sam played it finger style guitar. A familiar tune if you were around in the 50's. Here are a couple of...
I have a friend who has one just like this one. It is hands down the nicest sounding and loudest oval hole A model mando I've ever played. That is a pretty darn good price also. Cheaper than he paid...
Kenny told me about 12 years ago that he worked out everything he plays on mandolin 1st. Told me he had a nice old Gibson A model that he played and loved.
I used foam for many years after I noticed Sam using it in the early 70's. However I have gone over to Velcro these days. I use 2 pieces just a little longer than the width across the strings at the...
Here's a sample of their music. Pretty nice version of "Stomp"

Nice looking mando.Yeah, remove the neck and you should see the date. I've had 3 and they all had the date on the end of the neck. Remove the screws and tilt the neck up and look. Usually in pencil....
I talked to their sound guy a couple of years ago and they were using DPA mics and Shure wireless. The wireless pre's were all in a rack on wheels. That's what they used than.
Live is the only way to go in my opinion to get a real feel and sound. Multi track works live also and that way you can boost solos, vocals and cut other stuff if you like. Just play it live and all...
Another angle might be this. Sam has so many great mando breaks on other peoples albums ie. fiddle tune or bluegrass standard breaks. Coming to my mind would be his Mando breaks on standard fiddle...
