Well, after 3 months of playing, I can honestly say it's the best mandolin I've owned for playing Irish music on. I'm now looking for the Single Malt version. I got to play one a while ago and just...
I wonder if they used Dawg picks?
Yes! you're not really that far from TAMCO, what with you being in London and all.
Avoid the curves if money is a problem, an A style will sound just as good and you'll get more mandolin for your money!
If it's an F style you really want then the B and M is an Ok buy. You could do a lot better buying an A style or even better buying a used F or A style.
Thanks Bertram, I may even try it on one of my old, never played for ages mandolins.
I wonder how they cut it to shape. I've tried in the past to do so on a vinyl without any success?
No! The problem is, when I take one instrument off the strap drops and turns, when I next put it on the strap has twisted so there is a twist over my shoulder making it slightly uncomfortable.
I'm constantly changing instruments during gigs and find the straps keep getting twisted. I've been told about a fitting that can be put on the strap and it stops this happening. Does anyone know of...
That's what I think. They also blank out vehicle registration numbers to stop you tracing them. (Another security precaution)!!!
It's alright looking at the asking price, It's the selling price that counts!!!
Reminds me of "Nothing else matters" by Metalica!!!
I play bass as my 1st instrument, but I gig with both Bass and Mandolin. After a few beers I find the scale length and reverse tuning a problem, or is the problem the beer?
If you look at the treble side just in front of the hole binding next to the neck, there appears to be a square, crack like mark in the wood, or am I seeing things?
I'd look at a Fyled Touchstone mandolin, There is a nice one in the classifieds at the moment. I own one and it's a fantastic sound. NFI by the way.
Does it have to be an F hole? I have a Fylde Touchstone with a fantastic deep/rich/responsive sound, but it has an O hole.
I know, and you can't get a lefty for love nor money. (Sorry that's a North West saying)
That piece she plays next to the teddy bear uses a loop sound system, they're grrrrrrrreat
I stumbled across this and thought you might like it too.

Frightening!!!
What's wrong with the Eastman TP, Mine's great, easy to string and never caused me any problems?
Why would you think you would be treated differently or not make friends, I am in Awe at your abilities, and and what people like yourself have to offer, not just to the forum but to the music groups...
No! I too like the thinner pick, I find I can't pick as fast though.
Watch out for the whip lash then!
No! I would have liked it though just as a conversation piece, although I would have ended up playing it.
There are many, second hand will give more bang for your buck (as you say in the US), and also an A style will do the same as opposed to an F style!
