    I really like the in ear monitors we use at my church. We can change the volume and equalize each channel. We use the Behringer Powerplay P16-M Personal Mixer.

    I put both E strings on and tune them both up slowly going back and forth. Repeat for the rest. I have not broke a string with this method.

    I own the 220 and its sounds really good. The 300 has better wood and fancy inlays, and usually sounds sightly better then the 220. Both are x-braced.

    Personally, I don't really care what the name is on the headstock. A mandolin should be judged on its build quality and sound.

    My mandolin has Grovers on it and they are super smooth. Have not used Golden Age tuners so don't know how smooth they are.

    The x bracing suggest it being a lm-300. The Loar use Grovers on their A styles models
    not Golden Age. Don't know how it got mislabled. Also post some pictures.

    Or if you must have a fancy F style without the sunburst a Eastman MD315 will do the trick.
