    Re: Breathing While Playing

Re: Practice on more than one Instrumnet

Though I primarily play mandolin, I've played mandolin, guitar, bass, piano and recorder for about 40 years. My interest in these has intensified or leveled off at varying degrees but one always...

    Steve,

    Re: RIP - Patti Page

I really hate to say this ... but, when you listen to Patti Page and Andy Williams, who we've recently lost, you realize what good music is and what a loss their talent really is. I've been adding...

    Re: Lloyd Loar F5 L #72,204 made 2-26-23

Maybe there's something I'm not getting here ... Why would somebody keep on sanding after the truss rod is exposed to that point? :disbelief:

  16. Re: Beautiful John Paul Jones improv from the BBC

Maybe JPJ is lurking around here on the Cafe under an assumed name? Anyway, I'd LOVE to see a Cafe interview with him. He does a lot of interviews, and I think this would be a feather in his cap, as...

    Re: Who writes this stuff?

Yeah, first thing I did was check out his positive feedback and what he sells. People seem happy with his instruments. Seems to be an upstanding person.

  20. Re: For you guitar lovers of Roy Rogers A gift from Doyle

As cool as that is, I have my eye on the Martin OM-45 like the one Roy's playing here. His sold for $460,000. There's one on Ebay right now and they generally fetch what Doyle's asking for the other...
