Gibson serial numbers

I have a Gibson A-50 serial number 870889. Can anybody help me determine a date of manufacture? Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Does 1967 sound about right?

All I was told is that it's a mid 60's. Is there a chart somewhere with #'s and dates?
