What year is that from? I don't remember how to read those Gibson serial numbers.
I think it's 2000; first and last digit are the year if I'm not mistaken.
Do you think Charlie's signature is on the the other label?
And the original box is included. I have *never* seen one of those...
Looks like Jan 20, 2000 the second(02) made that day....same as the Flatiron Performer A that I have except for the gold appointments, "The Gibson" versus "The Flatiron" and the flowerpot versus the fleur de lis. I think the price is too high on this, should be more in the neighborhood of $1200-$1300(a Montana A5G is in the classifieds right now for $1250). Both mandos (Flatiron Performer A & The Gibson A5L) are identical in the construction (wood selection, dovetail neck joint, etc.); IMO a Nashville Flat is a better deal, but if you want the flowerpot and Gibson on your headstock, I can relate...
