Bearfoot.......great bluegrass concert here in Oregon!!!!!!

I had the opportunity to catch Bearfoot at Pacific University last weekend and they put on an excellent concert with a much different and tighter sound than the band had 6-8 years back when I heard them in Alaska as Bearfoot Bluegrass. The only original members of the band are Jason Norris, the mandoliner, and Angela Oudean, the fiddler. They've added three others to the group-Nora Jane Struthers (guitar & lead vocals), PJ George on bass, and Todd Grebe (guitar).
If you get a chance to hear this band.......don't miss them. Loads of fun and their new album-American Story-is quite good......definitely some Dixie Chicks influence here. Much of the concert was from this new album & the band did a great job on all of the tunes.
I had the change to jam with mandoliner Jason Norris in Nome about 6 years back & he was fantastic then and is even better now. Here is the band's website for those interested......has their schedule: http://www.bearfootband.com/

Agreed, we've had them perform many times and they get better and better. Ready for the really big time now.
