Has anyone heard of this mandolin? It is probably low end and I think Canadian made. Any info would be apreciated.
Thanks,
Karen

You're probably looking at this eBay listing?
Well, my first reaction was that a $49.95-with-a-case mandolin wasn't made in Canada. but rather far 'cross the blue Pacific. So I went Googling. Li'l trade secret: mandolins are scarce, but guitars are common, so I Googled "O C Smith guitar" and ran across this Acoustic Guitar Forum thread. Apparently O C Smith was a label formerly used by Saga for some Japanese made guitars, which seem to have been decent for their prices. Now the thread associates the brand with Hosco, which is a large Asian supplier of instrument parts, as well as some stringed instruments.
If the mandolin's new, probably just means that some distributor is continuing to use a former Asian-import label for, well, more Asian imports. I'd be completely surprised if it were Canadian-made.
Thanks, Allen. Yes that is the one I am looking at. I am looking for a beater and this is near me. I'm not sure if I will go for it or not.
Wasn't he the guy who sang "Little Green Apples?"
By the way, the case alone could sell new for around $40.
