Temperance Reel on Aleyas #6 and #7
This is a clip of my brother Jim Chapman playing Temperance Reel. On the first track he is playing his mandolin #6 and then playing a second track on #7 just before it was delivered to its new owner. Both have red spruce tops but his mando #6 is sugar maple and #7 is red maple. It was cool to hear the recorded sound difference in the two mandolins.

Sounds good. Your brother did a nice job as well.

Nice picking guys! I really like this tune, one of the more difficult ones that I have been trying to learn...alot of left hand work and hard for me to get clean at this point of practice. I can't decide which mando I like best, they both sound so good...thanks for the post.

Thanks a lot guys. I had a little input though it was small, I played the bass because the room we recorded in along with the mic picked up his foot tapping and I had to cover it up with something of the same key... The foot stomp was at least on time so it was easily covered up!
