- I am college student studying International Business Management. I started teaching myself how to play guitar my senior year in high school (2010) and decided to try out the mandolin about 5 months ago now (needless to say I haven't regretted my decision one bit) and I am ready to keep learning and become a better mandolin player. Besides teaching myself guitar and mandolin, I have taught myself basic music theory through books and the oh so wonderful world wide web. If you have any tips about taking the next step in mandolin playing I would love to hear them!!!
