Hi everyone, here in the UK this weekend we are celebrating the Queen's 60th year on the throne - anyone fancy posting a cool mando version of our national anthem, God Save the Queen?

If you are tempted - here is the tab...

    Brian May will do anything.

Hm, I'm tempted though, knighthood sounds good. "Arise, Sir Sausage of Pork Linkinshire".

We all know this melody on our side of the pond too, but for some reason our forefathers changed the lyrics to what we call, My Country Tis of Thee or America as it's also known over here in the former colonies!

Unfortunately I'll have to give this tune a miss, as I'm one of that minority of folk over here who hold the bizarre notion that people shouldn't earn privilege through birth, and that the unelected should not have a claim to some of my tax money to propagate their luxurious lifestyle in celebration of aristocracy, colonialism etc. Thankfully for me we seem to be a bit more prevalent here in Glasgow than down south.

I imagine many of the British contingent are all out at street parties getting bladdered and having a right old cockney knees-up tonight, guv'nor, but just in case you crawl home by the thin gray light of tomorrow morning and need to hear one last paean to the aged throne-squatter, here it is:

I trust my knighthood will be in the post by tomorrow morning.

One of my favourites! Apologies for the sound quality, in my rush to record I took some "studio short-cuts"

Brilliant, thanks guys for those magnificent versions. 2 honary knighthoods winging their way over the pond to you both...

Now it's times to pop down to the street party to stand in the rain drinking a pint of bitter and wave a flag or two.

For now, here is my picture I took on Sunday from Chelsea bridge.
